Explore the natural beauty of underground rock formations with a tour of Bristol Caverns, one of the oldest attractions of its kind in the region. Bristol Caverns is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12:30 to 5 p.m.
The guided tour takes about an hour and leaves from the gift shop approximately every 20 minutes. You can also reserve the picnic area or schedule a private tour. Bristol Caverns is located at 1157 Bristol Caverns Hwy.
2. Spend Time at Just Jump
Kids of all ages will love this fun trampoline park, a 25,000-square-foot facility located at The Pinnacle, 315 Bristol W Blvd. Family Day at Just Jump takes place every Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., and Junior Jump is held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday. 3. Catch a Movie at Marquee Cinemas
Several family movies are showing at Marquee Cinemas this winter, including Dog Man, Paddington in Peru, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Mufasa: The Lion King. Located at 680 Pinnacle Pkwy, this theater features premium amenities like leather recliners and 3D showings. Don’t miss the Tuesday special with $8.75 admission to any show for all ages. 4. Enjoy Steele Creek Park Nature Center
This 8,000-square-foot nature center offers year-round educational programs and events that highlight the natural beauty and history of Southern Appalachia. You’ll love visiting with the live animals who call the center home. If you don’t mind the cold, you can also stroll the trails that wind through the park. Steele Creek Park Nature Center is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. It’s located at 4 Little Lane.
